March 24 2013 I was introduced to bitcoin. It has since helped me in my activism, journalism and music making. In 2017 I wrote the 'Bitcoin (not gold)' song. Now that most of my Bitcoin is back in circulation (spend) and with the 2024 halving behind us, I want to give something back. This song is free, the single on vinyl proof of work. I hope you like it and will help me share it everywhere? May Bitcoin help you and others find freedom, the way it has helped me. If you like the song, thank you for a value 4 value donation. You can do so through the links on the seesharp.rocks website. See Sharp Rocks In 2021 during lockdowns and police violence in the Netherlands I wrote 'the battle of the Hague', a protest song former Dutch police officer Dennis Spaanstra allowed me to properly record in his newly built music studio. That's where it started. During the recording of 'Bitcoin (not gold)' early 2024 we played it on an open-podium. Me on a Gretch guitar, Dennis on the slide guitar in an open A tuning. No time for sound check, on the stage we went. It wasn't until after we played I learned of his struggle to get his strings tuned to C# (c sharp) in time. If you can do that, you can do anything; 'See Sharp Rocks'. |
